Attilio Sepe is internationally regarded as an emerging company
talent on the alto saxophone because of its unique sound and its
personal approach to composition.
Attilio began his studies with Raffaele Minale and Giulio
Martino at the age of seven. Later he continued his studies
in classical music at the “Conservatorio Statale di Musica
D. Cimarosa” and his jazz music studies with Antonio
Solimene and Maurizio Giammarco. Then he moved to
Siena, where he studied for five years and graduated twice
in Jazz Saxophone from Siena Jazz University. He studied
with great musicians like Giovanni Falzone, Alfonso
Santimone, Ettore Fioravanti, Roberto Spadoni, Ralph
Alessi, Dan Kinzelman, Ziv Ravirz, Jim Black and Ben Van
Gelder.
During his studies at Siena Jazz he worked with Silvia
Bolognesi plays in her quartet “Silvia Bolognesi Young
Shouts” and formed the “Parking Attendants”, a collective
of Italian musicians based in Tuscany.
In 2021, Attilio won the “Premio Giovani Visionari” award
2021” awarded by the “Federazione Nazionale Jazz
Italiano”.
“Héritage Normand” is his latest release, recorded with the
great Italian saxophonist Maurizio Giammarco that is
which will be released at the end of 2023.
