Bram Weijters Trio

Anyone who is familiar with Belgian contemporary jazz knows pianist Bram Weijters from his fusion band Bram Weijters' Crazy Men or his collaborations with American trumpeter Chad McCullough. He is also active in bands such as Mazzle, Jelle Van Giel Group or the Piet Verbist Quartet and pop artists such as Mauro Pawlowski or Raymond van het Groenewoud sometimes appeal to his musical qualities. There is one constant: the search for honest and creative music.
In his trio, the pianist is accompanied by the experienced bass player Piet Verbist and the drummer Lionel Beuvens, both of whom are also very active as band leaders.
The trio draws from the previously released albums of leader Bram Weijters, supplemented with new compositions that are completely in line with Weijters's piano playing: lyrical, rooted in tradition, but with a modern and spicy edge.
