Sometime in 2019, this band was founded between DEBORAH JACOBS, LUDO DEGROOTE and FILIP BREMS given their shared interest in the blues. A phone call and one rehearsal made it possible to start my own work. A guitar riff immediately led to the art of writing and composing between the three of them and thus SEND THIS MAN AN ANGEL was born, which is one of the coolest songs on their playlist to date. The taste for more became the tone that could be heard in every subsequent rehearsal. Writing, composing, the like-mindedness and the “feeling” to put together a beautiful playlist was a fact! Deborah, originally from Breda and bassist-singer-songwriter, found her place between drummer Ludo from Antwerp and guitar maniac Fil. Gradually the songs LINGURING AT THE DOOR, BLUES IS MY BUSINESS and BLUES UP MY SLEEVE were created. Always present in their cool playlist to this day. In between there were also songs such as WAVES GONE WILD and PARANOIA that led the band towards more blues. This is how the songs TEXAS SUNRISE and OH SISTER became a reality and where the guitar solos ran wild. There was more and more “vibe” and solidarity. Rehearsals became the showcase for passionate writing and composition work. THIS WAR and CONTEMPORARY CRUSH soon followed, which showed the contrast in “black and blue”. The compositions moved from war to love, from daily worries to happiness and melancholy. Every song composed was given a story. HIGH HEEL BLUES and THIS GUY emerged and became an added value in a regular playlist. In between, “covers” were inserted such as CATFISH, BORN UNDER A BAD SIGN, CHAIN ​​OF FOOLS, THE THRILL IS GONE, GOING DOWN and SHAKY GROUND in which DEB JACOBS BLUES BAND fully exposes itself. Other releases included PUT ON MY MAKEUP, WHILE WAITING and the excellent SIX FEET UNDER and ALL OVER MY MAN, which regularly appear in their playlist. Of course it was striking that I RATHER GO BLIND and TENNESSEE WISKEY at the end of their story in the playlist turned out to be a great ending that calls for BIS songs, which the band never ignores at every performance. To date, there has been "touring" between the NETHERLANDS and BELGIUM and it has been found that those who come to watch and listen quickly get a taste for DEB JACOBS BLUES BAND. The band keeps on running!
