We would like to introduce our rock/blues/americana band Howlin' Roaddogs, with blues veteran Ed De Smul as frontman.
Howlin' Roaddogs are known for their idiosyncratic approach to existing songs, but especially to their own work. A spicy two-hour set of rock, blues and Americana makes the Howlin Roaddogs a band that belongs on all stages, from blues to rock festivals, brown bars and village parties.
Ed De Smul (°1971) Vocals, guitar, harmonica is a versatile musician, multi-instrumentalist and composer. Over the years, Ed played with numerous musicians: Willy Willy, Patrick Riguelle, Roland, James Hinkle, Buddy Widdington, GT Moore... Was the frontman of the band Ed and the Gators (2010-2021) and Lipstick Traces 1993-2005 for years. ) .
Jan Baert (°1957) Guitar, accordion, backing vocals Guitarist with Easy Five Quartet, Mang & the Gang, Westbound Alley and White Rooster where his path crosses Ed's, resulting in a promising collaboration.
Björn Van Gompel (°1974) Bass, backing vocals shares a long and versatile musical history with Ed with Lipstick Traces and Howlin' Roaddogs. Also bassist with Buzzkill Baby.
Peter Claeys (°1967) Drums Funky drummer from Groovelines and Purple Fringe, among others. Played with Jan at White Rooster for a number of years before eventually joining the Roaddogs.
