Marino Noppe Band

As a solo artist or with a backing band, Marino Noppe has been a top performer for over 40 years. Marino has shared the stage with dozens of kindred spirits in recent years: including Louisiana Red, Joe Louis Walker, Johnny Moeller, Magic Slim and Johnny Copeland. After his previous band Maxwel Street and the many guest performances at home and abroad, it was high time to go out with a permanent band again. The Marino Noppe band is therefore an experienced and well-oiled blues machine on stage, with various musical plumages. In addition to Marino Noppe, the group consists of Danny Degheldere (Maxwel Street, Marc & The Monday Lovers, Dollarqueen) on bass, Dries Pottevijn (Higher Octane) on lead guitar and Rik Vannevele (Chester Avenue, Paul's Collection, Orion, Myke Rock Band) on drums. Chicken Head comes on stage with more power than we are used to: a more powerful sound, without losing sight of the traditional blues. Marino can draw from a wonderful back catalog of his own songs. He is inspired by the authentic Chicago blues, but effortlessly switches to a more funky sound. With his masterful skill and perfected sound, he can go in any direction.
