Marino Noppe Band

As a solo artist or with a backing band, Marino Noppe has been a top artist for more than 40 years. In recent years, Marino has shared the stage with dozens of kindred spirits: including Louisiana Red, Joe Louis Walker, Johnny Moeller, Magic Slim and Johnny Copeland. After his previous band Maxwel Street and the many guest performances at home and abroad, it was high time to perform again with a permanent band. The Marino Noppe band has an experienced and well-oiled blues machine on stage, with diverse musical backgrounds. In addition to Marino Noppe, the group consists of Danny Degheldere (Maxwel Street, Marc & The Monday Lovers, Dollarqueen) on bass, Dries Pottevijn (Higher Octane) on lead guitar and Rik Vannevel (Chester Avenue, Paul's Collection, Orion, Myke Rock Band) on drums. A blues quartet par excellence.
Chicken Head comes to the stage with more power than we are used to: a more powerful sound, without losing sight of the traditional blues. Marino can draw from a wonderful back catalog of his own songs. He is inspired by the authentic Chicago blues, but effortlessly switches to a more funky sound. With his masterful skills and perfected sound he can go in any direction.
