Secret Exit Trio

Secret Exit Trio is a collaboration between Piet Verbist and Hendrik Braeckman, two long time companions with the young lion: drummer Lionel Beuvens.
Their repertoire consists of original compositions, supplemented with some jazz compositions and/or jazz standards. The compositions vary in atmosphere and context, from a traditional guitar trio to modern modal jazz to openly inspired work. Always with an original perspective and plenty of room for dynamic improvisations.
This results in a diverse color palette of styles and improvisations with a lot of communication and interaction between the musicians. And in a new album, Secret Exit To Another Dimension, which will be released in January on the American jazz label Origin Records.
