Slow Lee

Sometimes you can hit something with your eyes closed. Purely by feel. There are bands that hand out sledgehammers, beat around wildly and want to conquer the world by force. There are bands that develop quietly, in the lee of the day, and release gems at the right time. Slow Lee belongs to the second category. Originally from Bruges, with singer-songwriter Korneel Muylle as the pivot. Slow Lee deals in the genre that you could find in the better record store in file under slow alt pop/rock. Sparsely constructed songs, in beautiful harmonious arrangements, in support of Muylle's clear and agile timbre that is sometimes reminiscent of Amos Lee and then again rubs against the high-pitches of Jeff Buckley. Slow Lee exudes authenticity, with a friendly wink to American colleagues.
