Armed only with his voice, his guitar, a harmonica, a stompbox and some foot percussion, Geert Bouckaert will perform an hour and a half long program with songs by Johnny Cash. Bouckaert's deep, lived-in voice is very close to that of Cash, but he still gives every song his own touch.
The Man in Black provides an overview of the career of the greatest country singer ever. Folsom Prison Blues, I walk the Line, Ring of Fire, Get Rhythm, A boy Named Sue, 16 tons: all the well-known hits are reviewed, but this solo program also features Johnny Cash's more gospel-oriented and sensitive songs, such as Wayfaring Stranger, Home of the blues and Hurt.
