After two albums of original compositions (“Panorama” 2020, “Outta the blue with you” 2023) and an
album of standards, Mathieu Najean began a new quartet with musicians from the Brussels scene. With
the Great American Songbook as a main source, these four musicians explore swing and interaction
again and again. Seeking to create a sound, without forcing, by pushing listening to the maximum, the
quartet focuses on melody, cohesion and swing.
