Blue Matter

The 4-piece jazz / fusion formation Blue Matter, founded by Hans van Gorp and Pieter Rambags, is mainly inspired by the heyday of fusion, a music style that was very popular towards the end of the last century, but has never really disappeared completely.
Hans had been toying with the idea of ​​starting a fusion group for some time.
To this end he edited a collection of well-known and lesser-known (versions of) songs from the period 1970 to the present, but with an emphasis on the period 1970 – 1990. He approached musicians with this, resulting in Blue Matter.
